Numerous renowned artists and philosophers have been inspired by Lake Walen. Lake Walen exerts a very special fascination on many guests. This was also the case for the artist Franz Liszt. Let yourself be carried away by his piece "Au lac de Walenstadt" from the collection Année de pèlerinage.

In 1835, Franz Liszt took two trips in a rowboat with Marie D'Agoult. This experience inspired him to write the work you hear here.
